A collaboration between Migrant Writers of Singapore and CAPT students of NUS.
Every activity definitely has benefits.
On the 28th of January, we visited NUS with some of our migrant friends for an activity named “WRITERS@CAPT” which aims to show the similarities between the migrant writers and CAPT students.
The most impressive thing that we did was when we had to write something from what’s been displayed on the screen, discuss it with friends in a small group and then explain or share it wiyh all the participants.
I learned a lot from yesterday’s workshop such as walking together around NUS, taking a closer look at the atmosphere in the dormitory which is not only for the students but also for the public. We went back to the room and wrote about what we saw during the tour around the premise.
What I learned from this is that if we want to start something, start from small, discuss it with friends if necessary, then do it when there is an agreement from everyone involved and decide.
