One achievement has been done – on Sunday 13 August, Sing Lit Station and Migrant Writers of Singapore, supported by The Majurity Trust, successfully held a workshop called Design Anywhere.
About 27 participants were very enthusiastic to learn how to use Canva to create their own design, branding, and logo. At the end of the session, everyone submitted what they created and got very good feedback from the mentor, and it was proof that the participants really enjoyed the workshop and learn a lot about design.
Joining this workshop, it’s amazing. I learned about how to apply colour in my design, logo or brand, where the colour also has its own meaning. All this time when I do editing with some app, I don’t know how to apply colours on it as i think as long the colour looks nice to me it’s okay. This workshop open my minds about creating graphics to attract customers and helps me to think about something that I haven’t done before.
As a coordinator of this workshop, I feel have the responsibility to make the workshop go well and all the participants enjoy the workshop. My favourite part of this workshop is when all the participants create their own designs using their own picture, and whenever I try to answer some questions from the participants who don’t understands well.
The takeaway from this workshop is nothing is impossible if you want to try by creating you own designs for your own brand or for other people which can give a benefit or profit.
