Over the past few weeks, Migrant Writers of Singapore (MWS) has had the opportunity to take part in a series of capacity-building workshops, presented by Sing Lit Station in partnership with FridayMakers and supported by The Majurity Trust.
From Leadership and Teamwork Skills to Public Speaking and Communication, these sessions have provided MWS volunteers with valuable tools to strengthen their leadership and amplify their voices within the community.
On 8 Dec, we concluded the series with our final workshop on Facilitation Skills. Led by Mugan from FridayMakers, this session focused on empowering participants with practical strategies to lead their own programmes with confidence and clarity. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited to see these skills come to life in the many programmes MWS has in store—from craft workshops to literary walks, poetry readings, and literature festivals!
A heartfelt thank you to Sing Lit Station and FridayMakers for their invaluable partnership and to The Majurity Trust for their generous support in making this series possible. Here’s to building a stronger, more inclusive literary community—one workshop at a time!
